SE coast locations

Hi all. I'm hitting an area I've sort of ignored for a while and looking for a favorite accommodation. I'll be back on my own this time, flying in from Brussels so no jet lag issues. I'm looking for a place that in the roughly Dungarvan to Youghal area. I'll be driving from the Dublin airport for a two night stay so will arrive late afternoon on Thursday 25 October. A sea views always make me giggle. Also, any preferences on Dungarvan or Youghal for music in the evenings? Looking for a session or something open like that. Both of those towns have been a pass by on the N25 for many trips.

Also looking for some coastal walk ideas in the area weather permitting. I've found a few options but any secret locations would be cool.

Nice to hear you will be back in Ireland again even if it is a short stay. Outside Ardmore is Ardmore B&B, which was very good. I was in a downstairs room but you might make an inquiry to see if the upstairs has sea views. It was several miles from Ardmore not right in town. If you really want ocean views try the pricey Cliff House Hotel.

Knocknacree B&B between Dungarvan and Stradbally was really lovely.

In Tramore Glenorney does have distant sea views.

Annestown and Kilfarrasy have good beaches. There is a new greenway in the area. This list of beaches might help as well as this list.

Have you been up to Mahon Falls? There is hiking there although it is in the mountains as opposed to coastal walks. In Ardmore is the Cliff Walk. Other walks.

As you know sessions can be hit or miss. I would email the place you decide to stay for local recs. Let us know how you get on.
