Killiane Castle

Hi Michele,

I found a lodging possibility I am considering, Killiane Castle, and I'm wondering if you or anybody has any feedback on it.

Thanks and Happy Easter everyone!

Ande

Ande,

I have no knowledge of Killiane Castle but it looks very nice. It has 4 diamonds from AA, which is a good indication. If you decide to stay you will have to give us a review.

Well, turns out they only have a double room available for the night in question and not the twin I need. Oh well.

Ande,

Sorry to hear you won't be staying at the castle. If you need a recommendation in Wexford, let me know.

Hello again,
Yes, if you have a recommendation for Wexford County, please let me know. Also, for Kilkenny as the Alcantra doesn't have availability for the two nights I need.

Thanks again,
Ande

Ande,

If you are looking for lodgings in Wexford town, proper, I would suggest teh Blue Door B&B, as it is in the heart of the town.

Have a most excellent adventure!

Slan Beo,

Bit

Hi Bit,
I had checked out your suggestion previously, but found it to exceed my budget. Since Dublin is going to eat up my budget, I don't want to spend more than 35 ppn, unless I find something unique like Killiane. I was disappointed that Killiane didn't work out because the price is reasonable for a historic structure.

I appreciate your suggestion though!

Ande

Ande,

Try Granville House: http://homepage.eircom.net/~granv/index.html It is a very nice B&B and breakfast is outstanding. Surrounded by beautiful gardens too. Ask to see the birds out back.

Wow, that place has a beautiful garden. I will definitely email and see if a room is available. It looks like it would also be very convenient to Johnstown Castle. Thanks Michele.

Ande,

Granville is very convient to both Johnstown Castle and Wexford town. If you get to stay please tell Emmet and Graninne that I sent you.

If any rooms do open up, we really enjoyed staying at Killiane Castle.
