$100 Bills

Michele,
I read in you book not to take $100 bills. Is that still a problem in Ireland? We plan on staying at B&B's and wanted to have cash for the ones that don't take CC's. What about $50 bills? Are they also a problem?
Thanks,
Nan

$100 Bills

Nan,

Yes, $100 bills are still a problem. Too many counterfits are being produced. $50 bills are fine. You will have to exchange any US money for euros once you get to Ireland. It is just that the banks don't like the $100 bills. However, your best way to get money is at ATMs at Irish banks.

Michele
