Headly House, Bunratty

Hi Michelle,

First, the book arrived earlier this week and is just lovely. I've never seen such comprehensive b&b reviews!

I have a question about Headly House in Bunratty. Your review, and their website, indicates that they are minutes from or a short distance from Shannon and Bunratty Folk Park. Can you be more specific? We were thinking of turning in our car the day we depart and staying near Bunratty that evening. Could we walk from Headly to the folk park, or to town for a light dinner, from Headly House? We would take a cab from the house to the airport in the morning.

Glad to hear you now have my book in hand. Headley Court is over a mile from the village of Bunratty down a tiny winding road. I would not suggest walking it especially at night.

For something right in the village try The Courtyard. It is walking distance to restaurants, Bunratty Castle, Bunratty Village Mills, etc. www.bunrattycourtyard.com.../index.htm

If you have an early flight it is best to order your taxi the night before to pick you up at a specific time.
