Roscommon

Any advice on Roscommon? We are mainly going there for geneology research and to the famine museum (Strokestown).....does anyone know anything about the Westway Guest House in Roscommon town?

We are spending the rest of the time in Galway (Salthill) at Marless House since it has been so recommended. I am assuming our plans to use that as a base for day trips to the Aran Islands and Cliffs of Moher is good?

Thank you.

Re: Roscommon

kdavisme,

I was in Roscommon this spring and it was really hopping. It is a busy market town and would make a good place to stay for visiting Strokestown. I have never visited Westway but can recommend Gleeson's Townhouse. Go to my "Lodgings" page for the link.

Marless is a nice choice for the Galway/Salthill area. Mary is a super host and breakfast is first-rate. It will be a good base for the cliffs and Aran Islands.
