Murphy's pubs

I'm sure there is more. But we saw 7 differant Murphy's pubs. One in Dublin, one in Killarney, one in Sneem, one in Dingle, one in Clifden, one in Oughterard, and one in Galway. I only got pic's of a few. The first is in Sneem 2nd in Killarney and 3rd is in Clifden.

Ok I had to edit this because I believe the 3rd pic was from Clifden and not Galway. After looking at my pic's and the series they are in.

Wellsley,

No, I don't have a chain of pubs over there! I think that it might be a lucrative business to be involved in over in Ireland. I have often wondered what the profit margin was on the 3.65 Euro pints in rural Ireland compared to the 5 plus euro pints in Dublin. 20 oz of Guiness costs $5.54 here in our local Irish pub, but I haven't been able to bear to drink it since returning from Ireland April 10....don't need to have a HUGE let-down....just yet. One of these days I'll break down and order one....and cry! It is just not the same....and it has nothing to do with being over there vrs here...out pub is decked out like many great pubs in Ireland, with live Irish music every Fri and Sat night year round. They do have a great Irish menu including culcannon, guiness stew, and shepherds pie. From time to time, that has to do as my "Ireland Fix" untill I get to go back! Dan

Dan,

I saw several Murphy's Pubs on my trip too. Unfortunately the weather was so bad I couldn't take photos of them. Have you read McCarthys Bar? Maybe you will have to do a similar trip.

Dan-switching back to a Guinness here is a huge letdown indeed! I'll keep an eye out for more Murphy's pubs too.

Can't handle the Guinness here, but enjoy the taste there.  Such a difference!
