Great Site For "Off The Beaten Path' Locations

Here's an Interesting site for discovering 'Off The Beaten Path' sites:  http://webgis.archaeology.ie/NationalMonuments/FlexViewer/

Using it is NOT really 'Intuitive', but it can yield a TREMENDOUS amount of info!

Hints:  1)  Make sure that the "OSI Map" is selected.

           2)  Zoom IN until townland names appear for the area you are interested in.

           3)  Use the "Pan" directional arrows to move around.

           4)  Click on the small BLUE 'I' button immediately BELOW the " - " (Reduce, or Zoom Out button) and then, select the 'Red Dot' you are interested in.  A Window will 'Pop Up'with info on that site.

           5)   Select the Listing and then a second Window will appear.  Chose 'Expand' and Full Detail will emerge.

LOTS of Information there -- I've only JUST begun to explore it!
