Gladly no. 1 July to 16 July. Bob is traveling Delta right? I believe it's close to his travel dates.

Ah, USAIR. Haven't flown with them in a while, and never transatlantic. Bob, your trip is coming up soon!

I wonder how Ryanair would deal with all of this if they had managed to buy Aerlingus!! I remember reading a few years ago about the open skies agreement which would open the market for low cost airlines to fly to and from the states, anyone know whatever happened to that.

For those that ARE affected by a Strike Action:  http://www.independent.ie/life/travel/travel-news/aer-lingus-strike-what-happens-if-my-flights-are-cancelled-30339636.html

For full details on your air passenger rights in the event of cancellation, delays, downgrading and denied boarding, see http://www.flightrights.ie.

Ryanair has announced the INTENTION to enter the US market, pending purchase of suitable aircraft (so, a year or three away) -- biggrin  confuse  biggrin

BUT -- They HAVE been know to make announcements, JUST for the publicity it generates!  furious  furious

Remember the whole, 'Pay Toilets' non-event??? aww

I've just been advised that the Strike issue is to be presented to the Labour Court tomorrow (11 June).  It is still possible that they might NOT Strike.

I just read an article on the same. For the sake of the Irish economy, let's hope this gets settled.

AND -- It's OFF!

NO strike on 16 OR 18 June:   http://www.irishtimes.com/news/ireland/irish-news/aer-lingus-cabin-crew-call-off-strikes-next-week-1.1828744

Hopefully, the Labour Court advisory, due tomorrow, will resolve the issue (scheduling) so that no further actions will be needed.
