End of my mapping days

I have mapped out several routes for many people over many years and would like to apologise for my inability to continue to do this.

Since this morning all my maps as were known are gone!

All custom Icons have been turned into plain blue markers, all coloured routes made into plain blue lines, all my links within locations removed any pictures replaced by anything from the google maps library ... months of effort, pages of information and any degree of clarity all vanished at 07.59 Irish time this morning.

Thanks Google!!

I had heard that Google had made some big changes to their 'Maps' ...   furious

If it's any consolation, I checked out your N59 / Galway 'Loop' map and it appeared unchanged --- Still had Icons and Links attached.  confuse

Talking about this one:  https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?msa=0&mid=zeETIBvU4Igk.ktfCqfP94onE

http://goo.gl/maps/L5ihu  Yes still there smile,  looks like some maps can still be accessed if I can find and catalogue any old links.. gives me something to do tomorrow blankstare  how long they will stay available is any ones  guess.

Edit http://goo.gl/maps/gl8uv has had most of the Icons turned into historic sites, lots of ferries on that Connemara map.  cry

Just have to find a new medium.. confuse

Don't you hate it when they mess up a good thing? New and improved? Progress? Maybe not. evileye
