New: The Gobbins Path

Visiting Northern Ireland's Antrim coast? A new attraction The Gobbins Path may be of interest.

The visitor's center is free!

Looks intriguing, Michele!  A bit of a juxtaposition of the modern with the rugged landscape, but at least it seems as if safety is maintained.

The new visitor centre is quite nice. Unfortunately, they were several months behind schedule in opening when I arrived this summer, so I wasn't able explore.

There is a very long video on YouTube showing the whole route. At the end you turn around and retrace the same route. It did not look as scary as Carrick-a-Rede but the cave might be claustrophobic. It was hard to see because it was dark. The pace seemed pretty quick. I would probably be lagging behind taking photos. biggrin

2 miles is beyond my walking distance these days or I would be heading there after the Liverpool Belfast crossing next month.
