Portmagee to Dublin Aiprort - stops along the way?

On my final day in Ireland, I'll be making my way from Portmagee to Dublin Airport where I will spend a final night. Any recommendations for stops to make along the way?  I  have already been to Rock of Cashel, Cahir, and Kildare.

You'll be SPOILT for choice!  biggrin  biggrin  biggrin  biggrin

Just beyond Urlingford, on the M8, at Johnstown, is Grangefertagh -- a Round Tower and ruined church:  http://irishantiquities.bravehost.com/kilkenny/fertagh/fertagh.html

or:   http://www.megalithicireland.com/Grangefertagh%20Round%20Tower,%20Kilkenny.html    Just beyond that is Glashare Tower House    http://www.megalithicireland.com/Glashare%20Castle,%20Kilkenny.html

Glashare Tower House has limited accessability, but if you take Junction 4 on the M8, you can visit/see both with minimal detouring, traveling along the R639 -- Although, it would be best to backtrack to Junction 4 to resume your trip.

Along the M7, just beyond Portlaoise, at Junction 16, is the Rock of Dunamase.   http://www.megalithicireland.com/Dunamase.html

At Junction 14, you could back-track a bit North and West to see the 'Venice of Ireland, Moasterevin  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2n2fCmqIGdU

Just beyond Kildare, there's shopping at Newbridge Silver Factory and Showroom and Museum:  https://newbridgesilverware.com/mosi

Near Nass, at Junction 6 is Oughterard Round Tower, burial place of some of the Guinness family:     http://www.megalithicireland.com/Oughterard%20Round%20Tower.html

Also, fairly nearby - but a BIT of a detour -- is The Wonderful Barn, in Leixlip: https://www.igs.ie/conservation/building/the-wonderful-barn-leixlip-co.-kildare    It's part of Castletown House: http://www.castletown.ie/VisitorInformation/

That's a long haul. The most direct route is through Killarney, Limerick and the N7/M7 east to Dublin. The Rock of Dunamase (weather permitting), Irish National Stud & Japanese Gardens, Russborough House, Malahide Castle. Depends on how much time you have and how far you want to get off the highway.
