Is six days too short?

We'll be coming from Seattle for six days (not including travel).  Also, is late April (around Easter) a good time to visit?  Highlights near Castleblaney?  Thank you!

Welcome to Michele's Forum.  biggrin  biggrin

Is 6 days too short?  In a perfect world -- Yes.  BUT -- If 6 days is all you have, then it IS better than 5, or less!  aww  aww

You will just need to lower your expectations, in relation to what sites you'll have time for.

As to the Castleblaney area -- There are numerous sites either in the vicinity, or within day trip range.

What are your interests -- Ancient ruins, music / pub scene / scenic walks (or, drives), shopping, Churches, city visits Belfast and Dublin are nearby)? ? ?

Will you have a car?

Are you spending all six nights in Castleblaney?

Weather is always a question, but I've enjoyed numerous visits in April.  Most of the Seasonal businesses usually reopen around Easter. Lambing season will be well underway and the flora should be beginning to bloom with vibrancy.

One thing to know about the Easter season is that many things (including pubs) are closed on Good Friday. Also, it tends to be busy with people visiting relatives, etc. Perhaps best to make lodging reservations around that time. And you will definitely need lunch/dinner reservations on Easter.
