Lavender Lodge

I am using vrbo to look for a rental home for an upcoming trip. I have communicated with the owner of Lavender Lodge in Kenmare. Anyone stayed there, and how was your experience? Thanks.

I've no personal experience with them.  Although their listing looks very nice, I have some concern over their distance from town center, as I always aim for something within walking distance.

If the 2 1/2 mile distance to town isn't an issue for you, then they would probably be fine.

FYI -- In addition to VRBO, they also list / book through:

As well as others, which implies a certain legitimacy.  biggrin  biggrin

For what it's worth, they are also, apparently trying to sell:

I think but could be wrong that it is one of the cottages tied into Tara Farm a guest house in Kenmare we have used a fair bit over the years, Margret's daughter Ann has taken over the business. I wouldn't have a problem (except for the price) and it is listed by 5star Ireland.

I like the following in Kenmare and have personally stayed at them:

Doire Farm Cottages (few miles outside town)
Kenmare Rentals  (some units outside town overlooking Kenmare River and some right in town)

Sometimes they give my readers a discount, so mention my name if booking.

No personal knowledge of Lavender Lodge.
