The Ennis bypass opened today. It will cut down on all the bottleneck traffic that filtered through Ennis town on a daily basis. It means a quicker commute through Co. Clare, faster times to the airport and a much quieter town.
I was thrilled when I heard this. The previous route was so often backed up...it'll be great for both the people trying to get to the Cliffs and elsewhere AND for those who want to enjoy Ennis.
I just got a note from Katherine Webster, the Director of the Cliffs of Moher New Visitor Experience. The grand opening is February 8th. From what I gather the facility, exhibits and restaurant will open then. It sounds like the areas featuring craft studios might open a little later. The new ranger program has already been launched, so now you can get guided experiences of the Cliffs.
That is fantastic news! I am looking forward to seeing it when I get there in June. I think it is going to make for a better Cliffs experience all the way around. Did they improve the parking, as well?
