Ennis Bypass Opens Today

Hello Everyone,

The Ennis bypass opened today. It will cut down on all the bottleneck traffic that filtered through Ennis town on a daily basis. It means a quicker commute through Co. Clare, faster times to the airport and a much quieter town.

I was thrilled when I heard this. The previous route was so often backed up...it'll be great for both the people trying to get to the Cliffs and elsewhere AND for those who want to enjoy Ennis.

Bill,

You will be there before all of us. You will have to be the forum guinea pig. Let us know how it is.

Michelle,
Thanks a lot for this info.  We are going back in March and this is GOOD news, my husband did not want to tackle Ennis this time.

Also, have you any idea how far completed the Cliffs of Mohar tourist center is?

youngka,

It is supposed to be completed in February of this year. This is the website: www.cliffsofmoher.ie

How is your trip shaping up?

I just got a note from Katherine Webster, the Director of the Cliffs of Moher New Visitor Experience. The grand opening is February 8th. From what I gather the facility, exhibits and restaurant will open then. It sounds like the areas featuring craft studios might open a little later. The new ranger program has already been launched, so now you can get guided experiences of the Cliffs.

Corey,

That is fantastic news! I am looking forward to seeing it when I get there in June. I think it is going to make for a better Cliffs experience all the way around. Did they improve the parking, as well?

Slan agus Barrogs,

Bit
