As I've been planning out our Ireland trip and making various enquiries with B&B's, I received the following reply from Craig Park:
Thank you for your enquiry. We would love to have you to stay and will indeed have room. But ... there is a change in the way things are over here. We recently sold Craig Park and will be moving out of here into a new home in February. The new home is a B&B also but instead of being in Bushmills is on the edge of the town called Coleraine which is about 12 miles to the west of us here.
The new house is called The Grange. Once the painters are finished with what they are currently doing we will get the web site updated with pictures of the rooms, but if you are interested in seeing just the outside of the house the web site is www.thegrangebandb.com . We will also be putting a link across from the Craig Park web site but that hasnt been done as yet.
The rooms are all ensuite and we do have space available. The price is £25.00 per person per night and this price includes a full Irish breakfast. Coleraine is just twenty minutes from the Giants Causeway and a little less from Dunluce Castle and The Bushmills Distillery. Coleraine is also extremely well placed for Londonderry, the A2 to Castlerock and the Magilligan ferry to Donegal and all points south too.
Thanks very mich for the "head's up" for everyone traveling to Northern Ireland. As I had mentioned in the past Craig Park was for sale and Jan and David are going to retire from the B&B business shortly. They sold Craig Park over the holidays and will be easing out of the business in a couple of years. Meanwhile, they will be renting a B&B in Coleraine for a year or two called The Grange. The Grange has been bought by a developer and the property will be developed after that. The Cheal's hospitality is second to none and I'm sure anyone that stays with them at The Grange will enjoy their time there.
