I would recommend most of that for kids. It all depends on your interest. Keep them on your list since Aqua World is indoors and would be good in the pouring rain. Take your bathing suits if that one is in the running.
Banna Strand is a beautiful beach. However, if there is a lot of activity there the Irish tend not to pick up after themselves. I remember a school tour that was at Glendalough one time and totally trashed it. We were going around picking up candy wrappers after the kids left. You would think Irish parents and schools would teach their kids not to litter but I guess it has not caught on there. It can happen anywhere.
No "Hooty Owl" in Ireland ... Sad. Maybe they think the visitors will pick up after them ...? Anyway, we had heard as much about this beach. If the weather is temperate, we may stop -- but thanks for the warning, Michele.
They do have a charge for plastic shopping bags at grocery stores. That is supposed to cut down on litter. I think what they need is a program in the schools that teaches the kids not to litter. Maybe if a bunch of kids had to go around after another school outing and pick up after them, they might get the picture. The thing is there are trash cans, which are ignored. I believe if you carry it in you can carry it out and dispose of it properly.
Michele: Give a hoot -- don't pollute, right? Works pretty well in the US. I've run into the same problem in visits to other countries, too -- but not in Germany.
