Has anyone used a flat iron (to straighten hair) in Ireland? I have bought two different ones that said worldwide dual voltage in the advertising, but then when I received them, the package said 60 hz only 120V.
My hair dryer has a switch that turns to 220 but I can't find a flat iron that does that, except for a Conair that had the switch, but didn't have enough heat to even do my hair here in the U.S.
Thank you Bob! I have emailed them to find out what the heat level is on that one. That was the problem with the other Conair I purchased (it didn't get hot enough). I have never used a flat iron with steam before either, so if anyone has tried one, please let me know how it worked out for you.
Your right and it may come down to having to purchase one there, but I hope not. Hopefully, I will find one before I go. If it comes down to the wire, I guess that I will go back and repurchase the Conair... something is better than nothing.
Okay, today I have officially ordered my third flat iron for this trip (2 others have been returned - Conair because it wouldn't heat up enough here in the States and Babyliss because although it says worldwide dual voltage, the instruction book said 110 60 hz only). I will post again when I get this one in to let any future flat iron travelers know if this one works... http://www.folica.com/Solia_Universal_d2651.html
