This is my first trip to Europe. I will be flying into Amsterdam before going to Ireland. I was thinking of taking trains & ferries to get there. Any suggestions for an interesting journey?
Welcome to the forum! Did you know that flying can be as cheap if not cheaper than taking trains and ferries? It also takes a lot less time. Do look into that before making your decision.
Of course, where you fly into and out of, time of year and how long you have for the Ireland portion of your trip will determine your itinerary.
The national rail roads in Scotland offer Rail and Sail packages. I'm sure other countries probably do, as well. You can google the individual country for a web address.
