Hello again. We are getting ready for our Easter trip and today have had a bit of a snafu. My father-in-law misunderstood our departure and unfortunately made his reservation for the Saturday from Chicago, arriving Shannnon Easter Sunday. (We are all coming Friday, arriving Saturday). He is trying to rebook on our flight, but not sure that will happen. Are you aware of any service that would drive him to Ballybunion on Easter Sunday (it seems to be asking alot) ? Or shall we plan on driving back to the airport to pick him up?
Thank you
p.s.Heres a newbie question for you: Is it appropriate to start this as a new topic, or should I have added it onto my prior entry re: Easter trip?http://www.sparkimg.com/emoticons/confused.gif
I've never used the bus system in Ireland, but it appears the closest he could get would be Listowel which is not very far from Ballybunnion. The bus leaves Shannon Airport at 1250 and arrives at Tarbert at 1500. There is a bus change in Limerick.
I would guess that a private service would be very expensive, essentially a cab. I don't know of a particular service there. I checked the Ballybunnion website and they don't show any transport options. Don't forget your handicap certificate.
