Dublin Airport Hotels

Hi,

Since I'm having such a hard time finding reasonable accommodations in Dublin city centre for my two nights, I thought I'd look into airport hotels.  Any comments on the Clarion?  Also, what about the Great Southern?  I see it's supposedly under new ownership, but they still have an active booking site under Great Southern.

Ande,

There are several new hotels near Dublin Airport. The Clarion is one of them and has 4-stars. The Great Southern Hotels all over Ireland have been sold and are slowly chaging over to their new names.

Also near the airport are Bewley's, Carlton, Crowne Plaza, Days Hotel, Hilton, Tulip Inn.

Have you tried Beechwood Country House in Malahide? It is really splendid. You can get DART or a bus into Dublin from Malahide. Also it is a short hop to the airport from there.

Hi Michele,
I need a place that has complimentary transportation to the airport. Looks like the Clarion has that, so I will probably go with them as they have a good rate if you pre-pay. The only thing I'm concerned about is getting the correct type of room, a twin. The booking site is kind of weird.
Thanks!
Ande

Ande,

Many of the airport hotels have complimentary transportation to the airport. So check out the other ones. Bewley's has a pretty low room rate.

Why not email the Clarion to clarify what you need? reservations@clarionhoteldublinairport.com

I emailed them this morning and haven't heard back. I will call tomorrow morning if I don't have a reply by then. I'll check out the others too.
Thanks.

Just checked Bewley's and it sounds perfect and a great rate. Thanks Michele!
