Milwaukee Irish Fest Meet Up - Aug 2007

Any Ireland Yes forum members visiting Milwaukee Irish Fest this year? If you'll be in the Brew City Aug 16-19th for the fest, we should plan a Meet Up.

When we get closer to the date, we can pick a time and place to rendezvous on the festival grounds. I'll be there all four days, so my times can be flexible.

Join the thread if you want to be a part of it...even if you can only be there in spirit.

Visit Milwaukee Irish Fest at www.irishfest.com,
Or email me at corey@irishfireside.com

Corey,

I won't be able to be in Milwaukee but I will be there in spirit(s)!

Will you be doing interviews for the podcast while you're there? You did some last year, if I remember correctly.

Speaking of the podcast.......are you working on another? It's been almost a month and I've got an Irishfireside jones going!

Expiring minds want to know!

Chris

We're working on a Dublin to Galway episode right now...but we've been swamped lately, so we haven't been able to pull it all together. Hopefully, we'll have something up in the next week or so.

We're planning to do more interviews at Irish Fest and in Ireland this summer. Liam leaves for Ireland on the 20th, and I go on the 27th, so we're gearing up for a whole summer of Irish bliss...okay, lots of work, but it's the good kind!

We'd also like to include more listeners in the podcast...calling our comment line at 414-455-5473 and telling us about your trip or what you think of the podcast or your Irish travel tips...etc...etc... is the easiest way to contribute.

Thanks for hanging in there. I promise, you'll get your podcast fix soon ;)

Corey,

I have been dieting but if your suitcase is a bit heavy when you head over to Ireland, don't be too concerned just make sure I have oreos! biggrin We weren't selected to perform at the Milwaukee Fest but if I can find a cheap enough airfare, I just might head that way. What is the weather like, back there at that time of year?

Interestingly enough, I just received the Gerard Manley Hopkins newsletter and they have me listed as a lecturer there this summer. I think that is wishful thinking on both ends! cry

Slan Agus Barrogs,

Bit

It's usually hot an humid here at that time, but one never knows what the weather will bring. Fortunately, the festival is right on Lake Michigan, so there are usually some nice breezes off the lake.

To bad you won't be performing...you would have had a group of IrelandYes groupies in the front row.
