Hello form Ireland!!

Hi Michele and All,

Just reporting in from Killarney. Wonderful weather, keep your fingers crossed for all of us. We are at Earl's Court, and we think it is grand. Michele, we were upgraded to a King Room with a glorious bathroom. Could it have been because we dropped your name?? LOL. Emer is a jewel, haven't seen Ray. He must be hiding.

Really enjoyed Tudor Court in Laragh, Wicklow. Friendly people, big room and a wonderful breakfast. I suntanned by the Avondale River! So if anyone is thinking of booking and can't get into your picks, I certainly will vouch for it. Joy's Rockside in Cashel was enjoyable, but thought Joan was a little abrupt, will explain in an e-mail when we get back. Not bad, don't be concerned.

Glendalough in the evening is a wonderful, peaceful place to be, only a handful of people. The Rock of Dunamase is so awesome! I was transported to ancient times. Nothing has been done to it at all since we were there years ago. Did the interior of the ROK yesterday, chickened out as to BallyBeema Pass, too hairy! Today Ed and I renewed our marriage vows at Gougane Barra, and the Church was even decorated for a wedding later in the day!!!

Hope I am posting this in the right area. Will check back in a week--this internet access here at Earl's Court is great.

Looking forward to Thursday night at Murphy's.

Helen

Helen,

Thanks so much for taking the time to report from Ireland. Good for you dropping my name and I'm glad you are enjoying your upgrade to the king room. The bathrooms are impressive, aren't they? And breakfast is wonderful.

I'm so glad that the new owners of Tudor Lodge are running it well. I must stop by the next time I'm in the area. I received your itinerary that you mailed to me while I was in Ireland. Unfortunately it was too late to contact you about it as you were on your way. But I must say "well done"! All your research pays off with good trips.

How lovely to renew your vows at Gougane Barra. I hope you took photos? I was just there a few weeks ago and it is so peaceful and the perfect place for a wedding or vow renewal.

Have fun at Murphys!

Michele

Hi again,

We are still at Earl's Court, so we are enjoying the free interent access! Oh, my, are the breakfasts grand! There are so many choices, it's even better than Drumcreehy House (as of 4 years ago).

Guess who we were in the Gap of Dunloe with today--Maria, Kasey, and Keely! They were in the jaunting cart right behind us, and I was walking the Gap with a Mom and her two girls, and when they said they were staying at Tower View, it dawned on me. Must be Maria and her girls. Was fun meeting that way.

Keep the home fires burning.

Helen

Helen,

What a happy coincidence to meet Marie and her daughters in the Gap of Dunloe. It is a small world. The Internet and forums such as this make it smaller still. Isn't it wonderful how people with the same interests can meet up a world away?

I hope you tried the porridge with honey, cream and dates? Just thinking of it is making my mouth water. You will have to return to Earl's Court again some time just to sample more breakfasts!

Have fun tomorrow with the gang at Murphy's Pub in Dingle. Wish I could be there. But please tell me all about it when you get back.

Michele
