Many thanks for the info and link. In the "old days" it used to be that flights were required to stop in Shannon. Not so any more. Most airlines find it more profitable to fly into Dublin instead. More business travelers want to go there and they are the bread-and-butter money makers for airlines. Personally, I prefer Shannon for ease of use. But hard facts and discount airlines today dictate where the routes will be.
