Guest houses in central Dublin

I am looking for recommendations for a guest house or B&B that is central, but quiet.  We are on a budget as well.
Do you know anything about Leeson Bridge House or Abbeyleigh Guesthouse?  Both are available and a good price.

Thanks

Jan,

Do you mean abbeyleigh or abberley? I have stayed at the Abberley  in Dublin. It is close into many things and is unbelievably economical given Dublin's standard lodging costs. I found the beds to be comfortable, the rooms adequate in size and the showers plentiful with Hot water. I found that the breakfasts were delicious and well presented.

I am not familiar with the other lodgings for which you were inquiring.

Jan,

I have heard mixed feedback on Leeson Bridge House and it can be noisy, depending on where your room is located. Much of Dublin can be noisy so take your ear plugs! I am not familiar with Abbeyleigh Guesthouse.

Have you looked at Jurys Inn Christchurch or Bewleys? Bill has stayed at Pembroke Townhouse and liked it.

It is the Abbeyleigh on Upper Leeson Street

Bit - the Abberley looks great but perhaps farther out than we want to be.

Yes Michelle I think I'll pass on the Leeson Bridge House. I have looked at Jury's Christchurch but it is more expensive with no breakfast. Will check out Bewleys and the Pembroke Townhouse.

Another one I found is the Baggot Court on Lower Baggot Street. Any opinions on that one?

I stayed at the Anchor Guest House lats month and I liked it very much. It was 50 Euros a night per person and the included breakfast. Ask for room in the back cause it is quiter. They have a free car park. It is not central but one dart ride from central.
