Hello from Galway!

Hello all!  The tour has been going great so far!!  We are at the Glenlo Abbey hotel now.   And their is internet for the guests to use!  So I thought I would check in here.  The bad thing about it is no air conditioning in the rooms!!  Thw water ban is still going on and the hotel provides you water and if you need more, they will give it to you.  Tonight we eat in the regualr resturant and tomorrow night the Pullman resturant.

Weather has been mainly overcast with some rain.  A little sun.  BUT we had sun at the Cliffs of Moher today!!  It was great views.  I actually got some sun there- I hope I dont burn!!!

The tour group is a great group.  We all seem to get along great, except for 4 women who stick to themselves for the most part.  I am not the youngest I have to say!  There are around 25 of us- all American and 1 Irish woman.  The guide is wonderful.  Great Craic!!  There are 2 teen girls, a 17 year old boy, 22 year old guy, me- 27, and a couple on there honeymoon who are both 30.  The rest of the ages range.

Last night I went to a pub with a couple of ladies- VERY interesting- you will hear all about it in my trip report.

Well that is all for now.  I dont know if I will check in before I get back.  I could go on for a while, but I wont- It is almost 6pm here and we eat at 7- gotta get ready for dinner!

Just checking in!

Jessica

Jessica,

It was so great to hear from you and I'll await your trip report. I love to read them as I don't know if I'll get back to Ireland.

Thanks, Joan

Jessica,

I just know you are having a great time!! Makes me want to book a trip right now.

Who's your guide? We really bonded with ours, and spent most evenings in his company. He told the most wonderful stories.

Safe travels home.

TC

Yes, the trip has been wonderful so far! We head off to northern Ireland tomorrow!!!!

I read in the paper this morning that a student from Hungary fell off the cliffs of moher on Saturday as he was trying the take more pictures. And we went Sunday. Wow. Also, here in Galway was an airshow yesterday and a door fell off from a helicopter and injured three people. I saw the door come falling to hte ground on tv on the news.

Tonight our tour group ate in the pullman resturant- I ate dinner with a great family of 4. They remind me of my family. Wondeful folks and the girls are great. They have been so well behaved this whole trip.

Its always wonderful when the tour group gets along so well.

This may be my last time online. I dont know if the other hotels will have free internet access. But it is nice to check in and also check email to clear out the junk mail.

Jessica,

Welcome home! I'm glad to hear your guide and driver were good. There is nothing like great weather for the Giant's Causeway and I'm glad you got some. Get some rest and let us know all about it when you are ready.
