Travelodge Hotel, Cork

Hello Everybody, Michele,

I have got a questation about staying in the Travelodge Hotel near to Cork Airport.
We are four together. We would like to stay in this hotel as we arrive 8pm and on the next day we continue our way with a rented car from the airport.
I find it very tempting that 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children can sleep in a family room.

We go for a 2 weeks travel around Ireland with a tent and we are on a low budget. It would be a great saving if one of us could go to the room without being noticed by the receptionist. By the way 2 of us are really short girls i am sure we would be comfortable in the room :)

Do you think one of us could be concealed or shall we let the receptionist know that we are 4 adults and if we could sleep in one room for a little extra fee. I do not want to pay other 90 euros for a second room as it is the price for 3 night stays in a camping. :)

Thanks your reply for this special questation. :)
Best regards, Oscar from Austria

Oscar,

Welcome to the forum. I think that honesty is always the best policy. Contact the hotel to see how much extra the fourth person will be in the room. If the hotel rate includes breakfast it will be worth the extra.

Oscar,
Don't know if you've left yet or not, but thought I'd reply.  We just got back from Ireland.  I travelled with my husband and 2 teenage kids.  We stayed at a TravelLodge a couple of times.  It's cheap, usually clean, just a place to sleep.  I've stayed in TravelLodges in the past, when we had 6 adults travelling together...and we all fit nicely in the family room.   B&B's are always nicer accomodations, but for the price, TravelLodge works fine.  We drove by the one in Cork, by the airport and it looks quite new.
Hope this helps.
Jerilyn
