Aer Lingus food

Hi, I am really getting excited now, only 16 days till departure.  We, my brother, sil and I will be flying out of Bostons' Logan airport to Dublin, I see on the Aer Lingus site that meals are available for purchase.  Has anyone purchased any of these meals?  Are they any good?  Should we get food to go at the airport?  Is food available in the international terminal at Logan?  I am a 64 year old female, I just travel from one meal to the next!!! LOL   Thanks

Jane,

The countdown begins! Unless Aer Lingus has just changed their policy, international flights provide free food. It is typical airline fare so if you don't care for that you might want to pick up sandwiches or something. I always try to travel with snacks because you never know when they might come in handy. This is a link for Logan Airport: http://www.massport.com/logan/insid.html

Thanks Michelle, for clearing up the food issue, my brother said when he flew Aer LIngus (17 years ago) they had provided meals, but when we saw on the website that there were meals for purchase we thought the policy had changed.
Ten days and counting, our plan of attack is arrive Dublin, Monday,Powerscourt, Waterford, Lismore area.  Tuesday, Cork, Cobh, maybe Kenmare, maybe not till next day.  Wed, Dingle, Ballinskellig. Beach cove.  Thurs, this might be a stretch, Aran Islands over nite.  Friday Galway overnite Glenlo Abbey, Sat home, boo hoo.  Any input appreciated.  Jane

Jane,

You are really covering a lot of territory in six days. I think a lot of what you have planned may fall by the wayside. Especially on Wed your plans on seeing the Ring of Kerry and Dingle are way too much. Thurs (as you have already determined) is too much and I don't think a trip to the Aran Islands will be possible. Just too much driving time for it.

Well, your quick trip will give you a little sampler of Ireland. Perhaps you will get to return again for longer and be able to spend a few days at a time in one place.

You will have to let us know how it goes when you get back.

Michele
