Thanks for the update. I have been meaning to remove the Galway boil water warning from my Hot News page but now it is on again. They seem to have an ongoing problem. Galway has exanded dramatically in the past few decades. I suppose infrastructure is having a tough time keeping up.
What you say, Michele, is true of a lot of Ireland. Most in rural areas do not have mains water but rely on wells they have bored, or nearby springs for their drinking water.
This has been true of the four houses we have lived in.
This is the first time the water has been safe to drink.
Even where there is mains water, many prefer to buy drinking water.
