Celtic Music

Hello All,

Many of you know, I toured Ireland with the Mckrells, a Celtic/World/Bluegrass group.
Til now it has been hard to explain exactly what style of music they play.
Some of the members have changed, and now Kevin tours with his daughter Katie.  Thanks to Youtube, You can now enjoy !
BTW, Kevin is the lead singer, and guitarist.

This song has not been recorded by him yet, but it is a well know song by the  group Sillly Wizard.

You can find many of the Mckrells cd's at CDBaby.com

Here is another video of Kevin, playing at my favorite pub in America.
The Parting Glass in Saratoga, NY. I go there as often as I can.

I have followed Kevin's music for 20 years, and had a wonderful time in Ireland with him. Words can't express the thrill it was to sing with the guys at Matt Molloys. Our tour group really was spoiled by the kindness of Mr Matt Molloy.
The magic that night was just simply breathtaking.  Many know how small the pub is, and we had the back room all to ourselves !

Mark,

I will be checking out the links. I am currently on my sister's computer and the speakers are not working. Gotta be able to hear the music! Thanks for posting. I'm sure I will enjoy listening when I can.

Thanks so much, I hope the white board message gets to you. If it didn't, I'll try again tomorrow.

Hi Joan,

I dropped your CD in the mail today.
Unless they ship it via Poney Express ( which sometimes they do out of Vermont)
You should get it before the weekend.
Cheers!
Mark D.

Touring with the Mckrells sounds like an incredible experience, especially with their unique blend of Celtic, World, and Bluegrass music! It's understandable that it can be challenging to pinpoint their exact style, given the diverse influences they incorporate into their sound. With Kevin now touring alongside his daughter Katie, it's exciting to see how their music continues to evolve and captivate audiences. Thanks for sharing about your experience, and I'll be sure to check out their performances on YouTube!
