Kinsale gourmet event

We are planning to be in Kinsale on the 13th -15th of October, same time frame as the gourmet festival. Is this a big event (i.e., using a lot of the available b&b rooms) where i should book ahead or are we ok "winging it" being the shoulder of the season?    W. C. O'Malley

You definitely need reservations for those dates and the gourmet festival. In fact, most places might already be booked up. Kinsale will be extremely crowded and not only will you need accommodation reservations but reservations for restaurants too.
