Avatar?

Michele; I am not sure where we left this..

I have uploaded an avatar; it sits on my private page as neat as can be, but I cannot see any way of getting it to the place it ought to be.. It must be something sooooo simple it is staring me in the face...

It says "change avatar" under where it says, "no avatar selected" but nothing re how to select an avatar in the first place.

So I uploaded in that section as it was the only thing to do.

Interesting...

Also not sure what the "whiteboard" is?

Anchoress,

I am not a tech wiz and ActiveBoard keeps adding all sorts of bells and whistles to the forum. But I will try to help as best I can. Perhaps Corey or someone who is more "techie" will help out too.

When you are logged in to the forum click on your name.

It will take you to your page.

If you scroll down you will see a whiteboard. You can write anything you want on it. It is basically for communicating more privately with other forum members. If you want to communicate with another forum member you need to click on their name and write on their whiteboard. Not everyone looks at their whiteboards so if you do not get a reply right away post in the forum that you are trying to contact them. Keep in mind that whiteboards are not completely private. Any forum member can see what you have written on them.

On the left of your page you can click on "Avatar".

That will take you to the Avatar page.

Currently you can either download an avatar from your own computer or you can link to one on another website. Which are you trying to do? Perhaps if you click on "Save Changes" it will work.

It should be pretty straight forward and take you through the steps. If you want me to try to help, you need to email me your password as I do not have access to private passwords on the forum.

I hope that helps a bit.

Michele

I uploaded an image from my computer.

And there is no "save changes" on the page; that is what I was seeking and that is missing on the page - the missing link!

There is nothing except " remove" under the image.

Blessings

Anchoress,

Be sure to scroll all the way to the end of the page. The button is on the very bottom.

Click on your name
Click upload avatar (might not need if avatar is in box already)
If not in box, browse for avatar and upload.
Click on the avatar in the box so it get highlighted
Under box click on select avatar

Now the picture should be both at top of page and in the box. Avatar file needs to be under 5Meg

Eureka..

Thank you; I hate to be beaten by these things,,.......

It was the highlighting, that does not show on screen, that effected the success....

Irrover,

Thank you for solving our Avatar problem. I am glad to see Anchoress' avatar finally showing up.
