How long in Dublin?

You are all TERRIFIC!  Thanks for your support and suggestions.  We have tickets booked and now comes the fun part...planning our itinerary!

We'll be in Ireland for 9 days...I know too short but that's how it's worked out.
We fly into Dublin and out of Shannon (via Dub).

How do you recommend splitting time?  Three days in Dublin and the rest elsewhere?  Or is that too long.  We love history and sleepy towns but we also love the hustle and bustle of city life.

Any recommendations?

Any must-do towns?

Thanks!!!

Jill & John,

Congrats on getting your tickets!

Most people find two days in Dublin sufficient to see most of what they want. Since you only have nine days that is the max I would spend there. What are your interests? That will help us to make recommendations. Some of my favorite places are Kenmare and Dingle.

Michele

Some places I can suggest are, a stroll in St. Stephen's green, Temple Bar (get a quick music fix, while putting down a smitty's) in Dublin, Glendalough, the Rock, Agahdo(SP) Heights near Killarney.

Hi Jill & John,

Two things in Dublin I can recommend strongly enough: The Musical Pub Crawl and the 1916 Rising Walking Tour.

Have a swell time, I'm sure you will.

Hi Michele and all, it's great to be back (wish I was really GOING back, but we will one of these days).

Regards,

Kevin
