Christmas shopping

We probably know about Lamplighter Studio, but here's a website that may be new to you. Just trying to help you with your Christmas shopping.

http://www.xanga.com/sistersofgraceofchrist . For more information about Lamplighter, go to http://lamplighterstudio.com .

If you are wondering what to get me for Christmas, send a private message and I'll give you my wish list.biggrin

WoooHOoooooo!

Anchoress is up and running! Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I have been so busy trying to get my online Gallery ready for Holiday shoppers that I have been remiss in my emails and in participating here on the forum. I am trying to figure out how many of the crocheted angels my budget can afford.

Slan Agus Barrogs,

Bit

Dude,

Funny you should bring up this topic. I just posted a request for ideas on my blog and was heading over here to do the same.

Again this year the Irish Fireside is putting together a Holiday Gift Guide. If you know of a website or source offering jewelry, books, clothing, gift items, artwork, household items or other gift ideas that have a tie to the Emerald Isle, I'd love to hear about it and possibly include them in our list.

Post your suggestions here or send them to corey@irishfireside.com. You can view last years list at: www.irishfireside.com/enewsletter/1206/1206holidaynews.html

Also, I know Liam appreciates you mentioning his jewelry...He's actually working on several new pieces of Belleek shard jewelry on this very day.

Even though no one has asked yet, Liam's shard pieces are on my wish list!! I don't wear a lot of jewelry except for crosses, but those shard necklaces/brooches are special.

Dude,

My brooch/necklace from Liam is a prized possession. When I am not wearing it I keep it in a curio cabinet with my Belleek. Perhaps he can make a special order for you.

It is hard enough deciding which of the available pieces I like best; a custom order would put my little brain over the edge! I'm still waiting for my order from the trip and I confess I thought if anything is broken, Liam would be my first call.

Hey everyone,

Thanks to everyone who has sent suggestions...there have been some very good ones that I would have never known about. This year's guide will be a big improvement from last year's. Keep those suggestions coming coming.

Also, wanted to let you know Liam has set up a discount for everyone on IrelandYes. If you enter "irelandyes" into the coupon code box at check out, you'll get 10% OFF your order along with free shipping through 2007! You can browse the online store at www.lamplighterstudio.com. He's got several pieces recovered in Ireland...as well as Belleek.

Oh, and Dude...commission pieces are his favorite to work on because they always have a story. He's worked on shards from people's great grandmother's china, brides making jewelry from their place setting, a vase a woman carried in her lap from China that the maid broke when cleaning, but my favorite is the plate a woman threw at her husband when he told her he cheated on her (she divorced him, but the plate was from his mother who she still cares about...and she didn't want to just toss out the shards).

Corey,

I love the stories. It is what makes "stuff" memorable. Sounds like an interesting article in the making for your next newsletter.
