Dear Michele and the many good friends of IrelandYes,
My gratitude to you for your assistance in planning our unforgettable trip to Ireland last year is still very large, and always will be.
Here's a new question. I am a writer and public speaker on the topic of Popular Music, with a particular emphasis on rock and roll, which I know is greatly loved in Ireland.
Can anyone direct me to an organization that would allow me to come to Ireland to give a talk? I would NOT be asking them to pay my expenses. I simply would love the opportunity to share what I can say with an Irish audience and make such an opportunity part of my next trip.
It looks like you have some research on your hands. I did a quick Internet search and could not find what you are asking about. Instead I have some other suggestions, which might lead you to find what you are looking for:
Look at musical events that are scheduled in Ireland.
Contact some radio stations. Maybe you could give a talk or program at one. Midwest Irish Radio is always looking for interesting interviews.
Look at the Music section on my Links page. They are mostly trad but if you contact them they may put you in touch with the right people.
Contact Corey at www.IrishFireside.com He may need something for a future podcast or his newsletter.
There are some rock and roll tours of Dublin. Perhaps contact them?
Does anyone else have tips for Kevin? Perhaps a brainstorming session is in order.
