Winter in Ireland

The New Year's gotten Liam all nostalgic, and he's recorded his memories of what winter can be like in Ireland. I think it's quite touching and thought some of you might enjoy it.

It's currently on the front page at www.IrishFireside.com...just hit the PLAY button. It also appears on the January 2, 2008 post in the TravelBlog section.

Happy New Year everyone.

Cory, is there a written version, please, as we cannot access this on our basic machine?

Yesterday was so mild and sunny, but today the icy gales are back and they are even talking of "'wintry showers"

Time to pile the turf high... and there are still some chestnuts to roast.....

Blessings

Corey, I really enjoyed that. Thanks for posting. I couldn't get the first link to work but the second did the trick. Tell Liam his winter memories were just lovely.

Anchoress, It was very cold here in Atlanta today. It didn't get up past 30 F. The thought of a turf fire sounds lovely and cozy.

I, too, could go for a turf fire.

Sorry Anchoress, no written version of Liam's account. The links above go to the YouTube video version...it also appears in our Podcast #31 (http://www.irishfireside.com/31winterstay.html)...you could see if you can access that. It's still a media file though.

Stay warm everyone.

Ah well.... It will not download for us.

Never mind; we live the Irish winter...

Bitter gales today so the turf will be blazing here.

Blessings
