things have been flying, and probably not the planes.
Last night was amazing....As Saint Patrick has it, "the whirling wind's tempestuous shocks..." But it is calm now and here, we still have power and phone, thankfully. Considering how high up we are....Two of our window boxes were blown away, later to be found quite a way away.
My paths took me on the Blue Stack Drive a few days ago, and the utter beauty of the snow-topped mountains... we can see them from here, along with the hills of Leitrim, Sligo and the North..
We hope it has warmed up over there..Blessings this night
The weather is certainly stormy there. Some friends of mine in Clare have a large tree down. I also read that two planes were struck by lightning on landing at Shannon Airport. The snowy mountains sound beautiful though. Each season has its own unique character.
The forecasts are all over the place still. No knowing from one day to the next now. Trees, phone lines....We have an erratic internet connection here and it is way down. Just over 26 this morning.
In Glencolumcille it never got more than 16.8
Still, it is noticably lighter at nights already now.... The ewes are looking fatter with lambs.... Almost half way through January..
