Dublin for 2 days

Hi All,
I have Michele's book and am looking at the lodging recommendations.. My Wife and I 20 somethings' are looking for a place that is reasonable that is close to shopping and pubs..
First time in Ireland, we are visiting family in England so we are just dropping by Ireland for a few days then flying back.  We are going in Mid February so any of the recommendations by Michele that would fit that bill or any that you can think of would be great.

Thanks for your time.

I was able to book a room at the Paramount (near Temple Bar district) for 79 Euros. It's a great rate, especially since we're going in May during a bank holiday. I booked it using bookassist.com.

No, I've never stayed there, but all the reports & reviews I've read (including one in Frommers) claim that it is a 3* modern hotel.

Fisher,

Take a look at Jury's Inn Christchurch. It is in a pretty good location and is a 3-star no-frills hotel. If church bells bother you ask for a room facing away from the cathedral.
