Sullivan's Royal Hotel, Gort

Hello Michele,
We will be arriving at Shannon at 1:30 PM after a long flight from Canadayawn.gif. We will be driving to Boyle Co. Roscommon the following day. I am not sure I want to stay in Shannon or Bunratty for our 1st night. I do like Ennis and it is a possibility but I am looking at driving to Gort to spend a fairly quiet night before the next day's drive. Do you know anything about Sullivan's Royal Hotel in Gort. The location looks to be just what I'm looking for. There are 3 reviews on Tripadvisor - 2 very good, 1 terrible - certainly not reliable.

Stewart,

Sorry, I don't know Sullivan's Royal Hotel in Gort. I could not find it listed in IrelandHotels.com.

Thanks Michele,

The location might be the best thing about Sullivan's. I like the 'in town' thing for a quick overnight stop. Do you recommend a B&B in Gort? There is one called 'Woodley' that is well located for me.

Stewart,

I'm afraid I don't have any personal recommendations in Gort. It is so close to Ennis, Bunratty and Galway that I have not looked there. It is not a usual tourist destination. Perhaps you can check for online reviews of the places you are interested in. Sorry!

Thanks for helping. Looks like Bunratty area for us. I noticed Headley Court has been offline for a while, hope it's not a bad sign.

Stewart,

I just tried and Headley Court is online. If you stay there be sure to tell Kathleen that I sent you. It is a lovely B&B.
