car rental

Thank you for the info about Kenmare.  I think it will be best for this trip to fly into Shannon- rent a car there-recomendations please- Then we will spend two days touring the river and area-Thanks Michelle for your lodging advice-Then drive to Kenmarefor a two day area tour-Would it be too far to include the Cork area in this 2 days or is it better to take another 2 days in Cork/Waterford/Wexford area?-We would like to go through the Wiklow mountains for a day and then fly out of Dublin-am not sure how much time is needed for the mountain drive and how long to stay in dublin-We have eight days not counting travel from and to states.  Thank you for your responses-Lyn
PS Michelle when does the 2008 book become available?

Lynda,

Please take a look at my "Car Rental" page. There is a lot of info there that you need to know before renting. Scroll down and read the whole page. I have been using Kemwel for the past several years with good results. You can click through to them from my Car Rental page to get a quote. But do get several quotes to comparison shop.

Cork is about 2 hours from Kenmare. What were you planning to see there?

Most people spend at least two days in Dublin, but then again it depends on what you want to see. What are you going to see in Co. Wicklow? It would be easy to fill a day there and still have things to see.

My book will be out at the end of March. It is not changing trememdously from 2007 so perhaps you should order that one. You can always get any updates right here.

.  The Wicklow mountains stops will be Glendalough-Powerscourt and just the drive about. We are from Colorado and enjoy drives and walk abouts. Also mountains and beautiful scenes of nature. We love muscic and social activity at the end of the day.  Thanks.

Lynda,

You can certainly see Glendalough, Powerscourt and the Wicklow mountains in one day.
