Airfare

Greetings all:

Is anyone finding decent fares to Dublin these days?  I have begun looking for a 2009 trip and the cheapest I have seen is over $800!

Keep thinking that Aer Lingus will have something on special for the off peak months, but nothing yet.  It really is a challenge for sure, and the amount you mentioned is what I see most of the time also.

When you put the exchange rate into the mix, you have to really watch your budget.

If anyone sees something good as far as air prices go, let's all share the news. biggrin

Of course, it depends on from where you are flying. In January of '07 we paid around $850 (including those mysterious taxes and fees) to fly from Amarillo and Corpus Christi to Shannon on Continental. The actual trip was in late September.

I am thinking that for the next trip we will fly out of San Antonio which should be both cheaper and better connected.

I agree with Sidz, let's keep each other informed.

Marie,

The airfares are up this year and I believe the fuel prices have a lot to do with it. Keep looking. Sign up for airline newsletters. When you find a good fare do not hesitate. Get it immediately before it disappears.
