If we can dodge the weather in Richmond and in Atlanta tomorrow, we're off to Ireland for our 3 week stay! I've been building it up in my mind for years, but especially during the last 12 months since we decided to officially take the plunge and go on the trip.
Thanks to everyone who's come to my aid many times on this wonderful site... I'd be feeling a lot less confident about everything if it weren't for the great input from all you folks here. We are putting to use so many of your suggestions!
We've got our digital camera with two spare memory cards, so expect to get quite an eyeful from me on my return. I'm taking a journal so that I can keep notes on each and every day we spend there. I'll be sure to drop by this site first thing when we get back and give y'all the rundown.
(I will say that I am a little nervous about the flight situation . I'm a bit of a nervous flyer anyway, and I've not flown overseas before. My doctor did give me a nice prescription of Ambien - sleeping pills - for the overnight flight.)
I live in Atlanta and the weather forecast for tomorrow is fine. I don't forsee any weather related problems here. I guess you are going on Delta? I take them all the time and they are great. Relax and have a wonderful flight.
I'm glad that the forum helped with the planning of your trip. There is nothing like asking people who have gone before you for help since they know the ropes. Now you will know what to expect. But there is always room for a few Irish surprises. Like Bit always says, leave yourself open to being fairy-led.
I am looking forward to all your photos and hope the weather cooperates. Have a fabulous time in Ireland. Bon voyage!
