Ireland with little kids

Hi Everyone,
We are taking our two kids (ages 6 and 8) to Ireland for 11 days in early April.  We are thinking of a few nights in Dublin, a night in Cashel, a few more nights in Dingle (maybe a farm stay thrown in) and a night or two in Kinvara to enjoy Dungaire's banquet.  Initialy I (crazily) thought we'd rent the car in Dublin and drive right to Dingle -- I realize now what a bad idea that is after reading some of your posts.  Here are a few questions:
- any recent travelers with little kids have any good ideas?
- any advice on pros/cons of leaving Dublin 'til the end of the trip (we'd get rid of the rental car after a week that way, and end our trip in Dublin)
- any experience with Augustine Apartments in Dublin?

Possible plans:
- Arrive in Dublin, leave right away for Cashel or Killkenny for one night
- Push on to Dingle (Greenmount and/or a farm stay) for three or four nights (too many?)
- head up to Kinvara for a night or two
- go to Dublin for 2 nights

Anything we should add in?
Many thanks, all!
Susan.

Susan,

I answered your other post but there seem to be a few other questions in this one. Let me address the ones not already covered.

Once you firm up your itinerary let us know and we will be happy to tell you of kid friendly things in each place.

Leaving Dublin till last will work. Sorry, I hae no experinece with Augustine Apartments.

See your other post for more info.

Michele
