(As my Grandpa would say -- good lord willing and creek don't rise) we'll be Kenmare two weeks from today!

Rebecca,

You are definitely in the final countdown to Ireland. I know you will tell us all about it when you return. I do hope the weather is good for you.

I imagine it will be a bit like it is right here in Indiana -- spring is an inconstant thing at best, but you can pretty much count on gray skies.  Although I won't be disappointed if we get sunshine and gentle breezes, the weather won't bother me.  (If I wanted a guarantee of sun and heat, I'd go to Aruba!)

Rebecca,

Good attitude about the weather. Hope you get a few rainbows.

A photo of the Dingle Peninsula with an accompanying somber article in this morning's New York Times op-ed.  http://egan.blogs.nytimes.com/2009/04/01/the-orphans-of-ireland/?th&emc=th

I hope you have wonderful weather, too! We went in April 2002, and had, for the most part, sunny days and misty mornings. We always came prepared in case it changed, though! The last day we were there (we had 9 days), it poured all day. I figure we got off pretty lightly :) The gorse should be EVERYWHERE and blooming butter yellow wherever you look.
