Certainly interesting -- and I really don't mind paying some higher prices for things once I arrive, but right now the airlines prices to get over there are tough to take. Things are about $200 more right now than what I paid last year, with more fees and taxes added every time once checks.
The fare sales for spring travel sure haven't started yet -- maybe by the end of this month. I would like to go in March, but no airfare has made me want to book anything just yet.
For now, I will wait them out a bit longer...

Monty, We have booked a six night independent tour via Sceptre tours. Just booked this week. It includes airfare RT out of Boston to Shannon, six nights at Adare Manor villas (3 bedroom/4 bath) and a full size car with standard CDW. There must be four people to book at the good price. We are going mid-May and it costs $926 per person! I checked the Aer Lingus website and for the exact flight we have booked the fare is $910! Of course, we haven't taken this tour yet, but the booking and planning have gone very well. Just thought I'd let you know, Cherry
I subscribe to many newsletters from Irish hotels, etc. The deals this winter are incredible. Of course they may dry up once we hit March and the tourists start trickling in.
I will be posting to my Blog shortly about discounts in Ireland and how to save money.
I don't think airfares will be going down much. The airlines have retired planes, cut back on routes, cut flights, etc. There are less planes and seats going to Ireland. Hence, flights are fuller. In Oct my DUB - ATL flight was full.
