The Burren for a day


Michelle,  We are staying in Adare and will make day trips from there.  For a day trip to the Burren, what do you suggest?  Are there guides once you get there? Should we just walk around? Just wondering what will be the best use of our day there.  Thanks so much, Cherry

I think a guided walking tour will be of great benefit to you so that you know what you are looking at. the Buren is a unique landscape that needs translation and explanation. Here are some tours:

You might want to take the ferry across the Shannon and back to avoid Limerick traffic and roadworks. If you decide on a round trip ferry ride - it is called "return fare" in Ireland.
