It is longer than the usual podcasts because we just got carried away and had a great chat. I hope you enjoy hearing about Ireland, B&Bs, airfares, funny stories, nostalgia, banoffee pie and much more.
Let me know what you think. You can also leave a comment on the Fireside.
Folks, I gotta tell you, Michele is as charming on the phone as she is on this forum. I think you'll enjoy our chat with her... lots of great insight and helpful information.
I think we could have talked until the wee hours of the morning.
I've been reading this forum for so long, I didn't learn much that you all haven't taught me already. But that space heater story had me laughing out loud.
Well fiddle-dee-dee ya'll! I guess you thought I would have a southern accent. But at least I'm not like my mother who never lost her Boston accent and still says "paaak the caaa". Her great-grandson once asked her if he would talk like that when he got old! Not that there is anything wrong with her Boston accent but we love to kid her about it. Someone on the Fireside thought I sounded like Andie McDowell.
Bronx, Glad you got a laugh out of the space heater story. My husband has a load of them. He is always having "Mr. Bean moments" wherever he goes. There is a lot more to the story but we didn't have time for it.
That was a really interesting podcast for sure. Great stuff, spiced with good information and humor. Thanks for sharing your thoughts with IrishFireside.
I also agree -- the space heater incident was a classic.
