I'm staying two days Dingle followed by two days in Killarney.

How many hours does the RoK actually take to take in a lot and do some exploring?

Thanks!

Great forum by the way!

lazydaze,

Welcome to my forum. The ROK can take anywhere from 4 hours to 8 hours (or more), depending on stops, your route and what you see and do.

Since you are coming from Dingle, which can take 1 to 1-1/2 hours, I suggest you plan on seeing the Killarney area. Do the ROK on your second day.

Thanks much! I thought that sounded better.

Another question about Dublin parking: we're staying at the Central Hotel for two nights, how is the parking handled around there? Should we valet at the hotel or is there parking lots available for a couple days? Which would be cheaper? We're going early July if that makes a difference.

The hotel is here: http://www.theexchequer.ie/location.php

:D

lazydaze,

I suggest you email the hotel directly. It is possible they have special arrangements with area parking garages for discounts, etc. that I am not privy to. Generally in Dublin parking is expensive and hard to come by. You must be very careful when parking on the street as car clamping happens if you are parked illegally.

Try the following for info on Dublin parking:

Is Dublin in the middle of your trip or at the beginning or end? Could you return the car before Dublin?
