Shannon to Dublin, rough draft itinerary. Suggestions??

Hello all!,
August keeps coming faster and faster and i am now trying to crack down and get our itinerary planned so i can start booking bed and breakfasts..

My itinerary so far
9-15 Arrive in shannon at 610 am
take bus to galway* thinking a b&b in salthill..
9-17 pick up car in galway 3 nights (figured 3 because the first day will prob be a write off due to it feeling like midnight for us but being 6am in ireland lol.
9-18 Dingle 1 night
9-19 Kenmare 2 nights
9-21 Killkenny 2 nights
9-23 Glendalough 3 nights
9-26 dulbin 3 nights
9-27 return rental car in dublin
9-29 fly out of dublin at 2pm

Is this too ambitious for my first trip?? Also, if anyone knows of any 'must sees', traditional irish music pubs, or hidden gems in  or around any of these towns please let me know!

thanks!

Tara,

It looks fine except for one thing. I would pull a night from Glendalough and add it so you have two in Dingle.

If you want a Salthill B&B that is close to Galway I recommend Lawndale. It is about a 15 - 20 minute walk into the city. Just depends on if you walk or stroll. It is not a fancy place but it is homey, clean and with a great host in Margaret Walsh. She has been in the biz for ages and knows what she is doing. Kind of like staying with your favorite aunt! wink Her email: lawndale09@eircom.net  My other recommendations are farther away and would most likely require a taxi into town.

Thank you for the B&B suggestion! i emailed her right away. I have read alot of good things about dingle, maybe you're right about the 2 nights..
Now that i have my bases down i can go from here and research some things to see around the areas.

Tara,

If you stay at Margaret's in Salthill tell her hello from me.
