Laptops and Power


Hi,
My wife and I are heading to Ireland on Saturday for the first time. We would like to bring a laptop. Can you tell me the power situation in Ireland?  Is it all 220v and do you know the type of adapter we will need?  We are very excited about the trip. We will be doing a tour from Dublin, ring of Kerry etc.  Do you have any tips on things we would not want to miss?

Welcome to my forum. And thanks for the PM saying you found the answer elsewhere on my website. But for those who might be looking for the answer here I will answer anyway.

Most computers will adapt themselves to both US and international (including Ireland) voltage. You should check the specs though to be certain. You will, however, need to get a three-prong plug used in Ireland. Here is a photo of one:


Hope that helps to know what to get.
