When Should I Confirm B & B Reservations?

An email reminder indicating an approximate time of when you will be arriving and how much you are looking forward to staying with them should be all that is neccessary. They will then reply in kind and you will have your confirmation.

The month will speed by and you will be soon on Ireland's soil. Do you have room in your suitcase for me?

I think I would wait till two weeks before departure. Then if there is a problem you will have time to make corrections.

Thanks for the replies. Are phone call confirmations better than e-mails. With the rapid changes in the communication mediums, I never know. For example, my son "talks" to his friends via texting.

With the time differences, I find that emails work best but that is a personal preference. Others don't mind staying up late here or getting up at dawn's first light to make the calls.

I am not as flexible as I once was, but I could try to fold up real small. Your very own personal pocket tour guide...LOL

Go with email. Then you can print your reservtions to take with you.
